Experlite Poject is looking for (2) University Research Associate I
Qualification: Engineering graduates, preferably BS Materials Engineering (Open to Fresh Graduates)
Project Description:
Perlite is a naturally occurring mineral that expands when heated. This project aims to establish an appropriate expansion process for perlite such that it will conform to the standards of lightweight aggregates for mortar applications.
Project Duration: February 1 – June 18, 2022
Scope of work:
1. Develop research papers for journal publishing and DOST requirements.
2. Prepare progress reports and attend Zoom meetings.
Skills / experience:
1. Skills in analysis of the following characterization test:
– Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM)
– Inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES)
– XRD / XRF Test (X-ray diffraction and X-ray fluorescence test)
2. Has / had experience with analysis of mortar mixes
Additional requirements:
Good oral and written communication skills, and willingness to physically work in UPD Labs. Must be fully vaccinated with / without booster shot.
