Environmental and Energy Engineering Group

As specialized field in civil engineering, environmental and energy engineering aims to provide balance between the built and natural environment through sustainable infrastructure systems. It deals with the study of efficient water and energy use, water and wastewater quality control and management, solid and hazardous waste management, air quality management, sustainable resource management, green materials in engineered systems, geo-environmental engineering, disaster risk reduction and management, and design of sustainable buildings. The Environmental and Energy Engineering Group (EEEG) leads the instruction, research and extension services of ICE in these specialized fields

Project IWASTO

Project IWASTO (Integrated Waste Analysis, Survey and Technological Options) is a two-year project led by Dr. Maria Antonia N. Tanchuling, under the IM4ManilaBay Program and funded by DOST PCIEERD. It aims to develop an integrated solid waste information and technology management system for selected cities which form part of the Manila Bay watershed.
