Equipment for Transportation Engineering Studies

The Transportation Engineering Laboratory is yet to be built in the ICE Compound. Currently, the National Center for Transportation Studies (NCTS) keeps and maintains all equipment for Transportation Engineering studies. These equipment are used in gathering data from the field, so it is not fixed in a physical laboratory. Senior undergraduate students and graduate students usually use these equipment for their research.

Not only that, these laboratories provide adequate workspaces that are venues for students to design systems, components, or processes to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability. In the process, they are able to visualize problems, formulate engineered solutions, and test the effectiveness of such solutions.
