The selection of UP Institute of Civil Engineering representatives to the “Introducing and Demonstrating Earthquake Engineering Research Tools in Schools (IDEERS)” competition, an International Shaking Table Competition hosted by the National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering (NCREE) in Taipei, Taiwan is open!

Please E-MAIL your letter of intent (see guidelines) to Asst. Prof. Matthew Travis Alcantara (mmalcantara@up.edu.ph) on or before May 31, 2023. The testing of models will be on June 7, 2023.
About IDEERS:
In order to promote earthquake engineering and seismic protection education and encourage students to participate in a creative scientific competition, a program entitled “Introducing and Demonstrating Earthquake Engineering Research in Schools (IDEERS)” will be held at the Taiwan National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering (NCREE) in September 2023. This program is jointly organized by NCREE and National Applied Research Laboratories (NARLabs). Resuming this year, 2023, student teams from Taiwan and all around the world are welcome to take part in this activity. The event was suspended in 2020 and 2021, and resumed for Taiwan universities in 2022.
