The UP Institute of Civil Engineering Fluid Mechanics Laboratory located in the National Hydraulics Research Center (NHRC) in Melchor Hall is used for teaching and for undertaking small research projects. The laboratory is utilized to demonstrate the principles and measure flow properties for the design and analysis of a particular flow situation. It is intended to complement the theories discussed in class and in fluid mechanics textbooks. The laboratory facilities include the water circulation system, various experimental apparatuses, and measuring instruments.
