Asst. Prof. Orozco completes Thailand-Japan Double-Degree PhD Program in Civil Engineering

UP ICE proudly congratulates Dr. Christian R. Orozco for successfully completing his Thailand-Japan Double-Degree PhD Program in Civil Engineering!

Dr. Orozco obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Field Engineering for the Environment) degree from Hokkaido University, Japan (conferred September 25, 2024) and Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering and Technology (Civil Engineering) degree from Thammasat University, Thailand (conferred May 20, 2024).

His dissertation is entitled “Environmental sustainability assessment of cement replacing materials for mass concrete applications in selected Southeast Asian countries”.

His PhD studies was supported by the JICA Project for AUN/SEED-Net Collaborative Education Program. He is also a recipient of the DOST Engineering Research and Development for Technology (ERDT) PhD foreign scholarship.

The Institute warmly welcomes Dr. Orozco back to the Institute. He has returned to active service and resumed his duties today, 01 October 2024. He is currently an Assistant Professor, and member and former head of our Environmental and Energy Engineering Group (EEEG).
