Admission Procedure

Admission into UP is very selective due to high demand. Applicants come from very diverse backgrounds but they are all ranked based on indicators of academic preparedness for university life.

The College of Engineering admits students into its undergraduate programs through the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT). High school graduates or those graduating at the end of the school year must pass the UPCAT administered every year.

Second-degree/transfer applicants from other schools, and students from other UP degree programs can also be admitted provided they meet the grade requirements of the degree program they seek admission to.
